We are focused on building value for you so you can make a difference for your clients, organisations and the community in which you live and work.

This year your professional body delivered a surplus and made outstanding progress on assisting you to be a difference maker including:

  • Support for you and the economy as we navigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Continued member growth with pleasing trends in enrolments in the CA Program of our next generation of Chartered Accountants
  • Impactful advocacy on COVID-19 economic measures as well as contributing to the debate on the future of audit in Australia through to taxation reform in New Zealand
  • Honouring the contribution you have made to the profession by recognising five Life Members and 220 Fellows, along with numerous milestone recipients.

Our focus on learning to support you to navigate new ways of working continues with the imminent launch of CA Capability+ this month and the transition to our refreshed CA Program of the future on track for mid-2021.

Having begun the final year of implementing Chartered Accountants ANZ’s three-year strategy our thoughts are turning to the future. A strategy refresh process has commenced to cover the period to 2025. It has had input from more than 3000 individual members including a member survey and 38 focus groups and workshops with Council, Regional Councils and member committees. The key themes and findings from the strategy developed in late 2017 continue to be valid so are a strong foundation for this refresh. We look forward to sharing the outcome of the member-informed strategy refresh with you before the end of the year.

We encourage you to read our Annual Report ahead of our first virtual Chartered Accountants ANZ Annual General Meeting which will be held on 3 December 2020.

Thank you for your support and contributions throughout the year and we look forward to building on this momentum.
