In July 2022, we announced a periodic review of our Professional Conduct Framework (the Review). The purpose was to ensure our Conduct and Disciplinary Framework continues to uphold integrity and trust in the profession across both Australia and New Zealand.

It has been more than five years since the last major review was conducted. This Review ensures our Conduct and Disciplinary Framework remains robust and in line with current global best practice.

As well as recommending a range of procedural and efficiency improvements, the recommendations from this Review extend the existing features of the Disciplinary Framework to address events involving firms and the systemic and cultural issues underpinning them.

The Review was led by CA ANZ’s Professional Conduct Framework Review Committee (the Committee) and today, we are pleased to release the key findings and recommendations.
