This ceremony marked a historic moment, with the reciting of the new Chartered Accountant’s Commitment for the first time, marking the new CAs entry into the membership.  The new Chartered Accountant’s Commitment is an updated version of The Charge, previously used in these ceremonies. The new Commitment takes the best of the old Charge and updates it to reflect a modern profession.

The ceremony concluded with new member, Cathy Wang CA, accepting the commitment on behalf of her cohort, and to expressing gratitude to the individuals who supported their journey, including teachers, parents, siblings, mentors, friends, and countless others.

Our graduates’ robust support network plays a pivotal role in shaping the CAs of the future, and without their unwavering encouragement, this achievement would not have been possible.

Fostering connections, knowledge exchange, and collaboration is vital to the CA profession. Following the ceremony, our new members seized the opportunity to engage with members of the NSW Regional Council and hear from the NSW Young Chartered Accountants Panel on the exciting initiatives and activities available.
