Documents to provide with your application and the accepted format

Required documents

  • If you hold a degree

    If you hold a degree provide the following documents:

    • Evidence you have met the English language requirements.
    • Current passport details (photo pages). If your name has changed, include evidence of the name change.
    • Department of Home Affairs form 956 or ‘CA ANZ Agent authorisation form – Skills Assessment’ (if you have a third party acting on your behalf)   
    • Degree certificate – stating the title of the award, name of the awarding university/institution, the year the study was completed and the grade achieved
    • Official Academic transcript (mark sheets) – showing all subjects studied and grades received. If you have been granted exemptions, you are required to provide the academic transcript from the institution at which study was completed that led to those exemptions. Please note, we do not accept unofficial academic transcripts.

    If you are unable to provide a scan of an official document, you can share your official transcripts and degree documents using My eQuals service.

    You will also need to provide a copy of your syllabus (course description) for non-accredited Australian and overseas degrees showing:

    • Details of all subject content of all units which correspond with your academic record for the competency areas required
    • The name of the university/institution and the date of the syllabus must appear on every page.
    • The course information must apply to the time you completed your studies.
    • If the information is publicly available on the internet, you may print course outlines from the web or provide links.
    • If the years and subject names on your academic transcript do not correspond to those of the syllabus information, documentation from the university must be supplied to state that the syllabus information applies to the years in which you completed your study.
    • Documents in languages other than English must be accompanied by an English translation completed by a certified translator. You must include the original language document and the translated document with your application.

    Chinese degree verification

    • If you hold a Chinese degree, we require that your degree certificate and academic transcript be verified through an authorised Chinese qualification verification service, accompanied by an English translation. 
    • Please confirm these services with the verification authority. We currently recommend VETASSESS to provide this service. 
    • Ensure you consider the verification processing times and ensure you allocate sufficient time for your verification to be completed.
     
  • Member of a recognised accounting body

    Members of a recognised accounting body must provide the following documents:

    • Evidence you have met the English language requirements.
    • Current passport details (photo pages). If your name has changed, include evidence of the name change
    • Department of Home Affairs form 956 or ‘CA ANZ Agent authorisation form – Skills Assessment’ (if you have a third party acting on your behalf)
    • Letter from your accounting body confirming that you are a current member in good standing. This letter should not be more than 3 months old.
    • Membership certificate.
    • Examination results/ mark sheets
    • Degree certificate and academic transcript/ mark sheets (if applicable)
  • Preparing your documents

    Please scan your supporting documents in accordance with the instructions below:

    • Scan and save the original colour of each document (both sides) into a PDF format:
    • Encrypted PDFs cannot be accepted.
    • Ensure your PDF files are not password protected or read only.
    • Email submission size cannot exceed 20MB in total.
    • We do not accept files that have been compressed.

    If your documents are in black and white, you are required to provide certified true copies.

    CA ANZ may refuse to assess your qualifications if false and/or non-authentic information or documentation is suspected. Suspected falsification may be reported to the Department of Home Affairs.
