During your application

Guidance during your application process

Assessment suitability

Due to the complexity of our assessment, CA ANZ cannot determine the suitability of your assessment until your application has been fully processed.

Combined assessment

For applicants seeking a combined qualification and skilled employment assessment, skilled employment will only be considered if the qualifications are deemed suitable.

If the qualifications are found not suitable, claims of skilled employment will not be considered due to the absence of a suitable qualification assessment. Fees are non-refundable.

Applicants may submit a reassessment for a combined qualification and skilled employment reassessment once they meet the criteria.

Nominated occupation

If found suitable against a different occupation rather than your nominated occupation, CA ANZ will advise you and request how you wish to proceed.

Initial assessment and additional information required

  • CA ANZ will conduct an initial assessment of your application within 10 business days after submission. This assessment verifies that your application is complete and contains all the required documentation. If any additional documents or information are required, CA ANZ will notify you promptly.
  • You must submit any additional documentation or information required to assess your application within 20 business days.
  • Valid requests for an extension beyond this timeframe will be considered.
  • If CA ANZ is unable to contact you or if you fail to provide the required information after three attempts, your application will be placed on 'further information required' status for a maximum period of 6 months from the submission date. As the holding period nears its conclusion, a ‘Final Reminder’ email will be sent, specifying the due date for submitting the requested information.
  • It is crucial to provide the required additional information within this period. Failure to do so may result in your application being assessed based on the initially provided documents. This could lead to a not suitable outcome if the application is incomplete.
  • If you receive a not suitable outcome, you have the option to seek reassessment after fulfilling the required criteria or request a review of the decision.

Before contacting us for an update

  • Login to your account on the portal to check the status of your application.

Withdrawal and fees

  • If you decide to withdraw your application, an administration fee will apply in all cases.
  • No refunds will be issued if initial work has begun or if the skills assessment has been finalised.
  • If you want to be considered in the future, you’ll need to submit a new application.
