The Committee has provided its Final Report, along with the Independent Review and the Committee’s Response, to the CA ANZ Board and NZICA Regulatory Board in line with the Terms of Reference.
The Boards have approved the Committee’s Final Report and response to the Independent Review. These documents are publicly available here.
CA ANZ has already implemented a number of recommendations, these include:
- Improving protocols for our people to guide their handling of informal disclosures of conduct issues.
- The introduction of a minimum of two hours per triennium of mandatory verifiable ethics training for all Members.
- Building resource support for our conduct functions by bringing the Australian professional standards and conduct teams within the general counsel/corporate assurance division.
- Completing periodic reviews of academic integrity policies and updating them to reflect the process for referrals of serious academic breaches to the PCC.
- Progressing procedural enhancements in the conduct of disciplinary proceedings such as early identification of issues in dispute.
- Publication of Acuity articles and offering complimentary Ethics and Standards CPD and webinars on Member Disclosure obligations.
The changes which required amendments to the CA ANZ By-Laws and NZICA Rules have been put to a Member Vote. You can find the results here.
