Member Insights Panel
The Member Insights Panel is an opportunity to have your voice heard and help guide the future of CA ANZ.
Join our Member Insights Panel
What are your biggest career challenges? How are skills shortages impacting you? How has climate change impacted you as a Chartered Accountant? Where would you want to see CA ANZ advocating on behalf of the profession?
In our Member Insights Panel, we ask full members to complete no more than two surveys per month to understand what challenges are impacting our members, where the opportunities lie and where we can support you. For our Provisional members, you can join the Candidate Insights Panel.
Our members are as diverse as the communities they serve – having your voice heard is essential to guiding our decision making at CA ANZ. It helps us to continually improve our resources and services to offer you a world-class member experience. You can opt out of any surveys that aren’t relevant to you, and every completed survey puts you into our monthly draw to receive one of 10 $150 pre-paid gift cards. Terms and Conditions apply.
Turning Feedback into action
We use the feedback we gather to drive meaningful change. Here are some recent examples of how we’ve turned your insights into action.
The impact of the Middle East conflict (April 2026)
We recently asked you about the impact of the conflict in the Middle East. You told us your organisations or clients were seeing higher costs, elevated risk and uncertainty in business decision making, and that many are already dealing with supply chain disruption linked to the conflict.

Responding to occupation shortages (Jan 2026)
Our occupation shortage survey highlighted significant pressure across several roles, particularly Internal Auditor, External Auditor, Accountant (General), and Taxation Accountant positions. On behalf of members, we prepared and submitted feedback to the government on the occupation shortages impacting the profession. You can read the submission here.
Understanding roles, pay, and what matters at work (September 2025)
Our latest CA ANZ Remuneration Survey captured more than 4,100 responses across Australia, New Zealand, and overseas, covering around 660 different roles. The survey highlights the breadth of work Chartered Accountants do today - from executives and directors to caregivers, cybersecurity leaders, sustainability specialists, and more.
The findings show that while remuneration remains important, flexibility, meaningful work, and a supportive workplace culture are central to attracting and retaining talent. You can read more about the report here.
Supporting members on sustainability (September 2025)
Our annual Nature survey showed the need for clearer, more practical guidance. In response, we:
- Developed climate-related disclosure guides for new requirements
- Used your feedback to shape our first Sustainability Conference in November 2025
- Launched the Sustainability Playbook and Sustainability Resource Centre as a central hub for tools and guidance
- Established the Sustainability Reporting Community of Practice with the UN Global Compact Network Australia and the ASX, giving you access to peer learning and expert knowledge.
Addressing reporting complexity (July 2025)
We surveyed members about the International Financial Reporting Standards. Many of you shared the challenges of applying IFRS standards. Based on your feedback, we are advocating for changes to reduce unnecessary complexity, including:
- Providing detailed feedback to the IASB's review of IFRS 16 Leases, highlighting cost and practical impacts
- Using your insights to guide our work with standard setters, including the IASB 2027 - 2031 Agenda Consultation, the IASB's Fourth Agenda Consultation and work on intangible assets.
