Candidate advocacy
The Candidate Success Team provides an advocacy service to help candidates navigate policies, procedures and processes.
What the Candidate Success Team can do for candidates:
- Guide candidates through CA Program policy, procedures and processes.
- Link candidates to CA Program policy and services relevant to their circumstances.
- Help candidates manage their expectations regarding available options.
- Provide guidance on the type of additional information typically included to support an application.
- Accompany candidates to misconduct and appeal hearings – providing step-by-step advice and procedural support throughout the entire process.
The Candidate Success team listens, advises, guides and supports.
What the Candidate Success Team can’t do:
- Write or contribute content into an application or appeal.
- Provide feedback on a prepared application or its likelihood of success.
- Guarantee an outcome.
- Provide academic advice.
- Meet with third parties (agents, parents, friends, etc) to discuss a candidate’s situation.
- Provide supporting documentation for applications.
- Write letters of support.
The Candidate Success team are not decision-makers and do not have the authority to determine the outcome of any CA Program process, including in relation to admission, credit application, special consideration, accessibility support, assessment review, misconduct, or complaint, grievances and appeals processes.
