It’s been a big year for Queensland’s Young Chartered Accountant (YCA) community.

Throughout 2026, the Queensland Young CA Panel has brought emerging professionals together across the state through a diverse program of professional development, networking and social events. From career conversations and leadership insights to coffee catchups and trivia nights, there have been plenty of opportunities to learn, connect and build relationships with fellow young professionals.

The year kicked off in March with QLD Young CA: Taking the Next Steps Panel, bringing together experienced professionals to share their career journeys and practical advice for navigating life after the CA Program. Feedback highlighted the value of hearing directly from panellists about their experiences and the advice they shared with attendees.

Our YCA Coffee Connects brought young professionals together across Queensland throughout 2026, with events held in Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast. These relaxed catchups created opportunities for Young CAs to grab a coffee, expand their professional networks, meet fellow members and build meaningful connections with their local YCA community.

Young professionals also had plenty of opportunities to connect socially. July brought collaborative networking through CA ANZ & Gold Coast Junior Chamber of Commerce Trivia Night and The Young Professionals: Meet - Greet – Repeat in collaboration with Queensland Law Society and Brisbane Junior Chamber of Commerce. These collaborations form part of an ongoing commitment to bringing emerging professionals from accounting, business and law together and creating opportunities to build connections across industries.

September shifted the focus back to professional development with The Leadership Leap: Managing Up, Leading Down, and Thriving in Between. Delivered as a hybrid event, giving Young CAs practical insights into navigating leadership at different stages of their careers.

Then in October, it was time to put our knowledge to the test at YCA Brisbane Social: Trivia and Networking Event 2026. With over 60 attendees, the evening brought Young CAs together at the CA ANZ Brisbane office for networking, food and some friendly competition.

We’re not quite finished yet - one more celebration to go!

The final event for 2026 is the YCA x QLS: Young Professionals Christmas Celebration 2026 on 2 December, bringing the Young CA and Queensland Law Society communities together to wrap up another fantastic year.

It’s the perfect chance to celebrate the year, expand your professional network and connect with fellow young professionals before the festive season gets into full swing.

Join us as we raise a glass to 2026 and finish the YCA year on a high.
