Welcoming New Chartered Accountants in Victoria
In June 2025, we welcomed 153 New Chartered Accountants at the Victorian New Member Ceremony.
In brief
- The 2024 Young Victorian CA of the Year – James Faulks was recognised for his outstanding achievement
In June, 153 new Chartered Accountants were officially welcomed into the CA ANZ community at the Victorian New Member Ceremony, held at Crown Palladium, Melbourne. The event marked the first of two annual ceremonies in the region and was attended by family, friends, colleagues and senior members of the profession.

The ceremony is a great opportunity for new members to pause and reflect on what they have achieved and how they’ve achieved it. CA ANZ Vice President Naomi Walsh FCA delivered a welcome address sharing her pride and optimism for the future of the profession.
‘Set yourself a vision, focus on your own path and take advantage of the world of opportunities now available to you.’

The evening also recognised James Faulks CA as the 2024 Young Victorian CA of the Year. James was honoured for his contribution to the profession and broader community, as he provided an insight into what being a Chartered Accountant meant to him. Noting, that the role as Chartered Accountants goes far beyond the numbers.
‘Continue to shape the future of our profession. Get involved. Join a panel, a committee, a council. Advocate for what matters. Your voice is powerful, and your perspective is needed.’
Congratulations to all our new Victorian members. The future of the profession is in great hands, and if you are keen to get more involved, contact Anthony Takyi, Regional Manager VIC & TAS to find out more about sector panels. You can read more about the Young CA Panel.
