CA ANZ members came together at Wharf Events for the Sunshine Coast Celebration Evening, recognising professional achievements, career milestones and the local Chartered Accountant community.

The event welcomed 56 members and guests, including 18 award recipients. Against a picturesque waterfront backdrop, attendees connected with peers and colleagues over refreshments and canapés.

Queensland Regional Manager and MC Mark Doorly opened the evening and welcomed members and guests. Attendees included Sunshine Coast Committee representatives, Queensland Council members and CA ANZ Vice-President Matthew Green FCA.

Matthew spoke about the value of belonging to a strong professional community and the benefits of CA ANZ membership. He also welcomed the newest Chartered Accountants as they begin the next stage of their careers.

Matthew then recognised recipients of the Certificate of Public Practice and members celebrating 25 and 40 years of CA ANZ membership. Their milestones reflect their longstanding commitment and contribution to the profession.

Tess Young CA, Chair of the Sunshine Coast Committee, spoke about the strength and continued growth of the local Chartered Accountant community. More than 800 Chartered Accountants are now based across the Sunshine Coast, including a growing number of early-career professionals.

Tess highlighted the committee's role in connecting, supporting and advocating for local members. She also shared its commitment to developing the next generation of leaders and supporting emerging professionals.

Tess presented the Sunshine Coast Merit Awards and New Member Awards, recognising members for their achievements and commitment to the profession.

A highlight of the evening brought all award recipients together for a commemorative group photo, celebrating their collective achievements. Another highlight was all Chartered Accountants standing as one and reciting The Commitment, led by Samara Badgery FCA, Queensland Regional Councillor.

Congratulations to all award recipients and milestone members. Thank you for your contribution to the profession and to the Sunshine Coast CA ANZ community.
