As we make our way towards the festive season, there’s no shortage of activity across our profession and region. Below are a few key events and opportunities I’d encourage you to add to your radar.

Your profession, your voice

Our 2026 Annual Report is now available, marking the first year of CA ANZ’s strategy to 2030. With our virtual AGM on 23 October, I also encourage eligible members to review the Member Vote information and have your say before voting closes.

New for New Zealand auditors

For our audit community, I’m super excited about our brand-new New Zealand Audit Seminar, online on 17 November. Designed specifically for New Zealand auditors, it will explore practical issues including service performance reporting, risk assessment, quality management and ethics.

Invest in future tax talent

Don't overlook the Future Tax Leader special rate for Tax Conference on 19 & 20 November. Eligible emerging tax professionals can attend for $772 in Wellington or $386 online. I’d particularly encourage people leaders to think about who in your team could benefit from this opportunity.

Interested in getting more involved with CA ANZ?

Have a voice in your local CA community- Members will receive an email on Thursday 22 October outlining opportunities across a range of CA ANZ governance groups. We will have vacancies on all our South Island Local Committees, and I’d love to see applications from members who are keen to contribute and get involved at a local level.
