This year marks 25 years of CA ANZ membership for 153 members in Queensland. On Thursday 26 March 2026, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand welcomed members of the graduating class of 2001 to the Brisbane office for a special evening recognising this extraordinary professional milestone.

The Cheers to 25 Years cocktail celebration honoured members who embarked on their Chartered Accountant journey in 2001, marking a quarter century of dedication, expertise, and commitment to the profession. Surrounded by family, colleagues, and fellow Chartered Accountants, guests gathered to reflect on their achievements and celebrate the impact of a career built on professionalism and integrity.

Queensland Regional Manager Mark Doorly officially welcomed attendees and acknowledged the significance of the milestone, noting the ongoing contribution these members continue to make to their organisations, communities, and the broader profession. CA ANZ Vice President Matthew Green FCA, provided some key updates on what CA ANZ are working on along with a reflection of his own past 25 years as he was also celebrating the milestone.

A highlight of the event was the presentation portion of the evening recognising each member’s enduring commitment to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. The presentations provided a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate the professional journeys that have helped shape the profession over the past two and a half decades.

Adding a nostalgic touch, a live musician set the tone with a selection of popular hits from 2001, transporting guests back to the year their CA journey began. Members shared memories of exam days, early career milestones, and how the profession and the world has evolved since they first qualified. The event served as a reminder that reaching a 25-year milestone is not just a personal achievement, but a testament to the strength, resilience and collective leadership of the profession.
