Chartered Accountants Worldwide Network USA launched

Association of Chartered Accountants in the US and Chartered Accountants Worldwide, have formed a strategic alliance, called Chartered Accountants Worldwide Network USA

In brief

  • US network grows to more than 7000 Chartered Accountants
  • US-based CAs can access resources from other member institutes, including SAICA, ICAEW, CAI and ICAS
  • CAW Network USA will provide increased visibility and strengthening of the Chartered Accountancy designation

Chartered Accountants based in the USA will receive greater support thanks to a new strategic alliance between Association of Chartered Accountants in the United States (ACAUS) and Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW).

The alliance has resulted in the formation of a new organisation to be known as Chartered Accountants Worldwide Network USA and will provide all members with access to the education, news and content resources currently offered across a range of different member institutes.

This new alliance, which was activated on 19 November, means the network of Chartered Accountants in the US has grown to more than 7000. They will have access to resources from other member institutes including SAICA, ICAEW, CAI and ICAS, as well as CA ANZ and the CAW Network USA.

This is the first regional network to be established by Chartered Accountants Worldwide and builds on more than 40 years of support by ACAUS to Chartered Accountants living in the US. Chartered Accountant Worldwide brings together more than 1.8m members and students from 15 chartered accountancy institutes to support, develop and promote the vital role Chartered Accountants play throughout the global economy.

The strategic alliance also provides access to a broader range of relevant CPD and events, online and in person, offering greater flexibility, more choice and opportunities to enhance skills and expertise.

This increased presence will also offer a key contact point to assist those considering the profession or members considering moving to the US. It will also allow access to online training targeted at Chartered Accountants who want to take advantage of Mutual Recognition Agreements to become US CPAs.

Most crucially, the CAW Network USA will provide increased visibility and strengthening of the Chartered Accountant designation in this important market.
