On Thursday 1 May 2025, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) invited members to the Far North Queensland (FNQ) Gala evening in Cairns designed for networking and celebrating members of the FNQ community.

The event was hosted by CA ANZ President, Grant Ellis FCA, Queensland Regional Chair, Jodie Mittelheuser CA, Far North Queensland Committee Chair, Melissa Dunne FCA, alongside QLD Regional Manager, Mark Doorly. The event took the opportunity to recognise and celebrate new members, fellows, milestone recipients and CPP members for their achievements.

Grant Ellis FCA spoke about the importance and attractiveness of the profession, shared stories of the milestone recipient’s dedication, trust and ethics to their careers and the journey ahead for new members.  

Melissa Dunne FCA shared local community updates, and the aspirations to increase engagement with members throughout the region.

Members celebrated with friends, family and colleagues whilst connecting with the wider membership and CA ANZ representatives.
