Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie O'Rourke CA to its Board of Directors effective from July 2026.

Mr O'Rourke recently retired from RSM Australia in 2025 after a 35-year career with the leading mid-market accounting and advisory firm, including 25 years as a partner and nine years as National Chief Executive Partner. 

During his leadership tenure, RSM expanded its national footprint, introduced new service lines including cybersecurity, data analytics and ESG advisory, and invested in emerging technologies such as AI, robotics and automation. 

CA ANZ Board Chair, Sarah Petersen FCA, welcomed the appointment. 

“Jamie has made a significant contribution to the accounting profession throughout his career and brings deep expertise in leadership, strategy and governance,” Ms Petersen said. 

"His experience leading a major mid-market firm and navigating a period of significant change and growth will strengthen the Board's oversight and support CA ANZ's long-term strategic priorities." 

CA ANZ Chief Executive Officer, Ainslie van Onselen, said Mr O'Rourke's appointment would add further breadth to the Board. 

"Jamie understands what matters to members because he has spent his career helping businesses grow, developing talent and leading through change," Ms van Onselen said. 

"His insights from the mid-market sector will be invaluable as we continue to evolve our services and support for members." 

Mr O'Rourke said he was honoured to join the CA ANZ Board.
