The Public Practice SIG is an exclusive forum for Chartered Accountants holding a Certificate of Public Practice (CPP), or those working directly for CPP holders. Entry is subject to Chair approval to ensure alignment with the group’s entry requirements.  

Attendance of this special interest group is exclusively in-person attendance. Monthly sessions focus on technical updates, regulatory developments, risk and compliance, and practice management.

We cover topics that focus on key updates in tax, legal, and regulatory matters, including IRD developments, GST, FBT, employment law, and ethics. The SIG also addresses practical issues like insurance, tenancy, business valuations, and AI tools — equipping professionals with insights to manage compliance, risk, and performance in a dynamic environment.
