We're aware of online attackers impersonating CA ANZ and targeting our members with scam websites and emails that appear to be from CA ANZ.
Scams can affect anyone. Online attackers may impersonate CA ANZ to gain your personal or financial information for financial gain.
To help stay safe online, you can do the following to check if the information is from CA ANZ:
- Check the email address from charteredaccountantsanz.com or caanz.com. If the spelling or address contains alternative details, it might be a scam
- Log in to My CA to check your membership details or outstanding amounts payable instead of clicking email links
- Contact our Member Support team if you are unsure if an email is from CA ANZ
If you have received a scam or suspicious email related to CA ANZ, do not click on any unexpected/unusual links or open attachments, please report to our Member Support team via the form on the Contact Us page.

Known scams
We are aware members are being targeted by the scams listed below.
Updated: November 2025
- Scammers are attempting to call CA ANZ members requesting payment of their membership renewal.
- Scammers may impersonate the CA ANZ number (+61 2 9290 5660) or a phone number similar to it. We continue to work with network providers to mitigate these scams.
- If you receive an unexpected call from us or the call seems suspicious, please contact our Member Support team to verify the call is from us. You reach us via:

- Avoid making a payment over the phone or from a link. Log into My CA to check your balances and make any payments due.

- Scammers are sending emails appearing as CA ANZ and CA ANZ CEO
- These emails are not associated with CA ANZ and may be targeting personal or financial information of our members
- An impersonation scams may not contain links or attachments but instead try to start a conversation that could later be used to request money, credentials, or other sensitive information
Key Indicators of Impersonation Emails
- Unusual sender address: check if the email address matches the official domain of the supposed sender.<
- Generic greetings: impersonation emails often use generic greetings like "Dear Sir/Madam" instead of your name.
- Urgent or unusual requests: be cautious of emails asking for immediate action or sensitive information.
- Mismatched email addresses: verify the email address in the "From" field matches the one in the "Reply-To" field.

- Scammers use surveys to gather information for more targeted attacks.
- CA ANZ will only send members surveys from an email address with "@charteredaccountantsanz.com", for example [email protected].
- We always include information about the survey and who to contact at CA ANZ if you need more information.
