WA Fellowship Dinner 2025
Celebrating the achievements of our newest WA Fellows at a memorable event
In brief
- The event celebrated 29 of our new WA Fellows.
- Recognising our Young CA Award recipient, Shamila Vijayamanohar CA.
- An evening of networking and celebration.
The highly anticipated WA Fellowship Dinner was a great celebration at Frasers in King Park, and a sell-out event!
On Thursday 3 April 2025, WA-based Fellows gathered to celebrate those who advanced to Fellowships in 2024. CA ANZ Vice President, Naomi Walsh FCA, WA Life Member Derek Parkin FCA, Western Australia Regional Council, led by Vice Chair Michael Andruszkiw CA and 2024 WA Young CA Shamila Vijayamanohar CA were all present to join in the festivities.
It was a great opportunity to acknowledge and congratulate the 29 members advancing to Fellowship, and to describe to those present why each of them were worthy of their new FCA designation.
To be considered for a Fellowship, a Chartered Accountant must be nominated by their peers. All nominations are reviewed and considered by the local State or Regional Council and those endorsed are progressed to CA ANZ Council for final approval. A Fellowship recognises members’ outstanding achievement in and contribution to, the profession of accounting. Additionally, a Fellowship recognises the members’ services to the business world, and to the wider community for the public good, usually in addition to their day-to-day roles.
On the evening, Shamila Vijayamanohar CA was awarded the Young CA award, which recognises outstanding members under the age of 35 who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession and to their community in their capacity as a Chartered Accountant. Congratulations to Shamila for being recognised for her amazing contribution to the profession and her community. Fellows and guests had the opportunity to network and reconnect with their fellow members over a three-course meal and accompanying beverages, looking out over the beautiful Swan River and the lights of Perth from the comfort of the State Reception Centre. Finally, a toast was proposed to all new Fellows, with cheers and smiles all round.
Congratulations to all our new Fellows on being recognised for their achievement to the profession.
