Hello members, 

Thank you for taking the time to review candidate profiles and vote for two members to represent you on the Victorian Regional Council. I am delighted to confirm that Daniela Juric and Matthew Shaw have been elected for a three-year term commencing on 1st January 2027. I would also like to thank Ray and Gerald for their nominations and willingness to serve the profession and support members across Victoria.

Applications for the appointed position on the Victorian Regional Council will open on 26th October and close on 16th November. Nominations will be reviewed and appointed by the Nominations & Governance Committee of the Victorian Regional Council.

The Victorian Regional AGM took place on 15th October with members joining in person and online. Some key regional highlights showcased by Rob Dennis, Victorian Regional Council Chair were:

  • The Victorian membership grew by 2.7% over the past 12 months
  • Expanded regional member connectivity through events in Bendigo and Ballarat with plans underway for 2027
  • Re-establishment of the CA ANZ Victorian Public Sector Panel
  • Advocating for Victorian members through roundtable sessions with the Tax Ombudsman 
  • The ongoing work of the Young CA Panel to build a strong and connected pipeline of future leaders
