Meet the 2021 NSW Council Chair

Welcome to the new NSW regional news hub which will focus on providing NSW members with current and relevant information about key initiatives and events.

My name is Alison Flemming and I am the 2021 NSW Council Chair, with my colleague Ben Wong CA as the 2021 Vice Chair, will be leading Council this year. NSW Council held its first meeting for 2021 in February and we were pleased to welcome our new President, Nives Botica Redmayne FCA and Vice President, Kate Boorer FCA to hear about Nives' focus for 2021. Council also welcomed an update on the ongoing development of the CA Program and discussed our strategy for 2021.

As NSW Chair I am pleased to work with NSW Council to improve member engagement across all member groups and segments. We will review Council's strategy to ensure it's applicable to the current environment so Council can continue to support management, build advocacy and meet the governance requirements. This year will continue to be a challenging one for members to help businesses and clients refocus, and rebuild where necessary, to help in the economic recovery of our community. NSW Councillors are looking forward to opportunities to meet with members and to hear your views.

Alison Flemming FCA
Chair, NSW Council
