On Thursday 16 October 2025, members across the Sunshine Coast gathered for a memorable Gala hosted by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). The Wharf Mooloolaba set the scene for an evening of recognition, celebration and making new connections.

The event welcomed members, colleagues, friends and family from across the region. Attendees enjoyed a relaxed, festive atmosphere with canapés, dinner and refreshments. Lively conversations and shared stories fostered genuine camaraderie and strengthened professional relationships, reflecting the spirit of the Sunshine Coast CA community.

A highlight of the evening was the celebration of significant membership achievements. The event honoured recipients of Merit Awards, Milestones and Certificates of Public Practice, as well as new members who recently earned the CA designation. This achievement reflects years of dedication and hard work. In total, 16 members were recognised, including one who reached an impressive 50-year milestone.

The evening was hosted by CA ANZ Queensland Regional Manager Mark Doorly, CA ANZ Vice President Naomi Walsh FCA and Sunshine Coast Region Committee Chair Tess Young CA. Their speeches focused on resilience, professional growth and the enduring value of the Chartered Accountant designation. They reinforced the unity and strength of the CA community and encouraged members to stay engaged and connected.
