On Thursday, April 3rd, the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) North Queensland Gala (proudly sponsored by SV Partners) took place at the Rockpool Pavilion in Townsville. The event brought together a vibrant community of local members for an evening of celebration, recognition, and networking. 

The highlights of the night were the recognition of North Queensland members who have achieved significant milestones in their careers. Awards were presented to New Members, those who reached their 25-year and 40-year milestones, Fellowships and Meritorious Service award, as well as to provisional members who excelled in the CA Program with a Merit award.  

The event included speeches from distinguished guests, including CA ANZ New Zealand Vice President Julia Fink FCA, who shared her insights on the future of the accounting profession and the importance of community and collaboration. Her words resonated with the audience, reinforcing the sense of camaraderie and shared purpose among the North Queensland Chartered Accountants community. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and discuss new initiatives that will drive the profession forward. The spirit of collaboration and innovation was palpable, promising a bright future for the local accounting community.
