We provided feedback to the Ministry for Regulation on the proposal to introduce a Regulatory Standards Bill. Our feedback focussed on the establishment of any potential Bill as an exemplar of good regulation; the nuances of a principles-based approach to regulation; the importance of interoperability in regulatory frameworks; and the practical considerations associated with the model proposed by the discussion document.
