The Payroll Tax Amendment Bill 2025 (ACT) proposes to change the payroll tax rate in the ACT in the middle of the financial year and increase the rate for large employers. In this submission, CA ANZ raises the complexity that arises with a mid-year rate change and potential adverse consequences that could arise due to the difference between the payroll tax rate in the ACT and NSW.
