Following on from our submission to the Ministry for Regulation on the Regulatory Standards Bill discussion document, CA ANZ submitted to the Finance and Expenditure Committee on the Bill. Our points were broadly similar, focussing on the importance of ensuring the Bill is an exemplar of good regulation; the nuances of a principles-based approach to regulation; the importance of interoperability in regulatory frameworks; and the practical considerations associated with the model proposed by the discussion document.
