Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) has provided feedback to the Centre for Sustainable Finance on the NZ Taxonomy. Our comments were focused on the implementation of the taxonomy. We are supportive of the approach which has combined international alignment with activities which reflect New Zealand farming and forestry practices, included protections for iwi/Māori rights and cultural heritage, and provided for specific risk management criteria to address environmental risks localised to New Zealand.

We are supportive of CSF’s intention to extend the taxonomy to adaptation and resilience and to other aspects of sustainability at the appropriate time.
