CA ANZ made a submission to the Economic Development, Science and Innovation Committee on the Customer and Product Data Bill. Our submission focussed on ensuring that the legislation clearly defines who is captured by the regime. We used our experience of the regime in Australia to inform our comments, highlighting the need to avoid any potential unintended consequences, and the risk of a disruption to the existing relationship between accountants and their clients.
