CA ANZ’s feedbacks on the draft Determination EE004
The draft Determination EE004:
- Extends the effect of Determination EE003 which has an end date of 31 March 2023. The draft Determination EE004 does not stipulate an end date.
- Increases the following exempt reimbursing allowances from 1 April 2023:
- Working from home - $20 per week (previously $15 per week)
- Use of personal telecommunications equipment and/or usage plans - $7 per week (previously $5 per week).
CAANZ support the changes incorporated in draft Determination EE004. According to CA ANZ, it is important for taxpayers that the amount of the exempt reimbursing allowances be reviewed on a regular basis. CA ANZ acknowledge the draft Determination recognises the need to update the amounts.
CA ANZ suggest some aspects of the item be reviewed and clarified with additional references.
