On 9 June CA ANZ provided feedback to the NSW Department of Communities and Justice in support of enacting legislation to facilitate remote witnessing in NSW. 

We provided the feedback from our members that remote witnessing has been crucial to access official witnesses during lockdowns. Looking forward, members consider the emerging remote workplace will be best served with remote witnessing being available across all states and territories.

We recommended that remote witnesses be enacted at the Commonwealth level for consistency.  Being enacted at Commonwealth level will meet the current governments deregulation agenda and vision of joined-up government.
