In 2011, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) joined the United Nations Global Compact. Since 2015, CA ANZ has submitted our communication of progress (CoP) every two years, outlining activities that align the UNGC’s ten principles relating to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

In October 2025, we submitted our sixth communication of engagement (COE) highlighting activities undertaken between 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2025. Our COE focused on:

• reaffirming our commitment to the UN Global Compact’s ten principles and actively engaged in advocacy, education, and collaboration on sustainability
• our lead and participation in major sustainability initiatives, including launching the Sustainability Reporting Community of Practice and supporting climate and biodiversity advocacy
• our  resources and training to build member capacity in sustainability, gender equity, and social impact, while engaging with regulators and standard setters.
