Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia, Financial Planning Association, Institute of Public Accountants and the SMSF Association support, in principle, the policy outlined in the Discussion Paper.

However we believe the scope of the policy should be broadened to cover victims and survivors of other heinous crimes.

We also agree that it is important to integrate the new arrangements with the existing legal frameworks, specifically bankruptcy laws and proceedings, family law and proceedings, and the Federal and State or Territory proceeds of crime regimes.
