(NZ only) Can I nominate someone who is an Accounting Technician (AT) or Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA)?
Yes, the same process applies. Those who receive fellowship are entitled to use the designation FACA or AT (Fellow)
Which criteria do I nominate someone under?
The criteria relate to a Member’s achievement in their career; and/or contribution to the profession. A nominee only needs to meet one of the criteria but can meet more, or all. Criteria 1 relates to career achievements where the nominee has gone above and beyond in relation to their peers/roles.
Criteria 2 relates to the contribution the nominee has made to the profession and this can be through either services to CA ANZ or its predecessor bodies (e.g. Membership of a Committee or Council); contribution to business or the community applying their skills as a CA, ACA or AT; and/or through a nominee’s teaching/writing/research (e.g. for our Members who work in academia).
The degree and value of the achievement and contribution, rather than merely length of service, is the primary consideration. The achievement and contribution of the Member will be considered relative to achievement and contribution from others in the field. Nominators should provide enough information and commentary to allow assessors to gain a full picture of the nominees achievements/contribution.
