Risk Specialisation - Pathway 2

Follow these easy steps to apply through Pathway 2 - Online Course

1. Review requirements

You need to have at least four years of practical risk management experience within the last 10 years, where at least 20% of employment is related to risk management and an additional 20% is related to the risk management field of work.

You must also have successfully completed the online course and assessment through UNSW within the five years prior to applying for CA Risk Specialist recognition.

2. Outline your experience

To get started, complete and return the Risk Specialisation Pre-enrolment Form below.

3. Enrol with UNSW

To enrol in the online learning, you need to use the link which will be emailed to you by CA ANZ based on the review of your pre enrolment form submitted in Step 2. You will also need to confirm the assessment method of either examination or portfolio interview when you enrol. You will need to have access to the appropriate documents if you wish to enrol in portfolio interview.

Complete education

Successful complete the UNSW online course for the Risk Specialisation.

5. Apply for recognition

Complete and return the Application for Recognition as a Risk Specialist Form, attaching references and application documentation.

References

You'll need to provide two professional references from individuals who can positively attest to your skills and knowledge in risk with your application.

Consider the following when choosing your referees:

a. One referee must be a Chartered Accountants with at least three years' membership who has known you for 12 months or more.

b. The two referees should not be from the same organisation.

c. The referees must not be related to you.

Educational documents

Provide a copy of the certificate as evidence of your successful completion of the online UNSW course via the assessment process.

6. Application review

Following a review of your application you will be informed by letter if you have been approved or declined.

If approved, you will receive a confirmation email, risk specialisation signature banner for your use and inclusion on CA ANZ's Find a CA website. You will then receive a welcome pack containing your approval letter and your certificate. You will be emailed a tax invoice which includes the application fee and the pro-rated subscription fee.

If you are declined because based on your application you do not satisfy the identified criteria, you will not be charged any fees.
