Assessments and exams

Information to set yourself up for success at assessment time.

Assessment is your opportunity to demonstrate that you have achieved the subject learning outcomes. Your assessments will be authentic tasks based on business case studies and scenarios, inspired by real events.  The assessments will assess a range of advanced technical skills, your knowledge of the subject, your capacity to apply this knowledge, and your professional capabilities, including communication, collaboration and problem-solving. Beneficial learning experiences will be provided to support your completion of the assessment tasks.

Assessment methods may include:

  • personal reflections
  • online assessment activities: quizzes, online interactive tools and computer-based final exams
  • written submissions
  • group and individual presentations (recorded and/or face-to-face)
  • workshop participation and group contribution
  • reflective portfolio.

Specific details about the assessment tasks and weightings can be found in the Subject Outlines for each subject.
