Privacy Collection Statement – CA in Residence Program

This Privacy Collection Statement contains details about how Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand ABN 50 084 642 571 including its subsidiaries and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, a regulated body established under the Institute of Chartered Accountants Act 1996 (NZ) (CA ANZ) may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in connection with your application to and participation in the CA in Residence Program (Program).

The primary purpose of collecting your personal information (including your first name, last name, e-mail address, mobile phone number, country and city of residence, your image, a video recording of you, the Selection Criteria set out in the CA in Residence Terms and Conditions your biographical information and any other information you provide to CA ANZ is to process your application for the Program and facilitate your participation in the Program. This purpose includes:

a) administering your application and the selection process;
b) managing and facilitating your participation in the Program;
c) promoting you within the Program;
d) promoting the Program (if you are featured in a Program event or case study); and
e) otherwise communicating with you.

CA ANZ may disclose your personal information to third parties such as Partners, start-up community hubs, participants in the Program, its service providers, agents and contractors for the purposes set out in this Privacy Collection Statement. Your personal information may also be disclosed on a CA ANZ website, magazine and on a CA ANZ social media platform (for example, if you are featured in a Program event or in a CA ANZ case study), anywhere in the world for a reasonable period of time following completion of your participation in the Program. In addition, your personal information may be disclosed to overseas recipients, in accordance with CA ANZ Privacy Policy. By accepting this Privacy Collection Statement, you consent to us disclosing your personal information to overseas recipients.

Providing us with the requested information is not required by law. However, if you choose not to provide us with the requested information or provide incomplete information, we may not be able to process your application for the Program or participate in the Program.

By submitting your application for the Program or participating in the Program, you consent to CA ANZ processing your information for the purpose described in this Privacy Collection Statement.

Where you have consented to our processing of such information (including any special categories of personal data), you may withdraw such consent at any time, by contacting us using the contact details in our Privacy Policy. Please note, however, that in certain circumstances it may still be lawful for us to continue processing this information even where consent has been withdrawn, if one of the other legal bases described above is applicable.
