Group Executive – CFO and Strategic Planning
Lee brings a broad range of senior management experience to his role, having held several accounting and finance, business development, strategy, and product and relationship management roles throughout his career.
Starting his career as a graduate accountant at BAE Systems in the United Kingdom, Lee has since worked across the banking, information and media, and electronic payments industries.
He joined CA ANZ in 2014 as General Manager, Australia and Overseas and established CA ANZ's physical offshore presence in the United Kingdom and Asia. Subsequently in his role as Group Executive Account Management & Strategic Planning, Lee focused on strengthening relationships with employers of Chartered Accountants through engagement, and the development of solutions to address their talent, product and service needs. He also led teams responsible for the 2017 CA ANZ Strategic Review and the Strategy Refresh in 2020.
Lee took on the role of interim CFO in June 2021 before permanently taking over the CFO role alongside his responsibility for strategic planning in January 2022. In his current role, Lee’s focus is on ensuring that the strategy of CA ANZ creates value, supports the current and future needs of CA ANZ members, the profession and the public interest, and is financially sustainable.
Lee holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Financial Analysis from the University of Warwick, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and is also a graduate of the Asialink Leaders Program.
