Australian Casuals
Information about entitlements for Australian casual employees can be found in the Fair Work Information Statement, Casual Employment Information Statement and other downloads at the bottom of this page.
CA ANZ employees in Australia (other than members of the Executive Team) are covered by the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020. A copy of this document is available on the FWC.gov website.
In addition, the National Employment Standards (NES) set the minimum standards that apply to all Australian employees. They are found in Divisions 3 - 12 of Part 2-2 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth). As the NES is not published as a separate document and may be updated from time to time, this page provides you with a link to the Act. If you need help finding Part 2-2, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of the People & Culture team.
New Zealand Casuals
Casual employees in New Zealand are entitled to holidays and leave in accordance with the Holidays Act 2003. However, you will only be entitled to paid sick leave, bereavement leave, family violence leave or parental leave if you meet the eligibility requirements of the Holidays Act 2003 or Parental leave and Employment Protection Act 1987, as applicable.
