Australian Casuals

New Zealand Casuals
Casual employees in New Zealand are entitled to holidays and leave in accordance with the Holidays Act 2003. However, you will only be entitled to paid sick leave, bereavement leave, family violence leave or parental leave if you meet the eligibility requirements of the Holidays Act 2003 or Parental leave and Employment Protection Act 1987, as applicable. Further information about entitlements is available from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) on www.employment.govt.nz or through calling 0800 20 90 20, or you can contact your union if you are a member.
