CA ANZ Members Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey Report

Your perspective. Our future.

At Chartered Accountants ANZ, we are committed to progressing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our profession. We understand that building a sustainable future for the profession is determined by our ability to attract and retain the best talent through an inclusive culture with equal opportunities, where all 140,000 members can thrive and contribute their best.

CA ANZ gives all members the opportunity to share their perspectives on diversity, equity and inclusion in our biennial survey. We conducted the most recent survey during May and June 2025 and it was completed by nearly 2000 members. We published the report in December 2025.

Why do we run a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey?

DEI Survey 2025

To guide our strategic aspiration

We want to be a magnet for diverse talent. The robust evidence base from this research and prioritising our new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy will help attract and retain the best talent, which is essential to ensure a sustainable future for the profession.

To elevate member experiences

We want to understand what is required to best support all our members and equip them for success, so that CAs can continue to make a difference in the communities in which they work and live.

To understand our inclusion gaps

We want to gain an insight into inclusion gaps among our members, so we can foster a fair, respectful, safe and welcoming profession where all members can thrive and contribute their best.

How will the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey results be used?

The results of the 2025 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey are helping to shape our new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy and initiatives, and ultimately, a strong and fair future for everyone in our profession.

We are using the data and findings to inform our advocacy work, and our programs, services, products and events to meet the needs of all our members.

We are widely promoting and sharing the survey report with members.

How have past diversity, equity, and inclusion surveys made a difference?

The information members provided in past diversity, equity and inclusion surveys informed the development of our first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy. Initiatives inspired by the report findings include resources like the Gender Equity Charter and Playbook and the Inclusive Language and Communication Guide. We also introduced CPD such as the Developing your Inclusive Leadership Traits micro course and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Fundamentals module. We have formed the CA Pride member panel and continued to support Indigenous events with a finance and accounting focus.
