Caroline Plowman, FCA, CMInstD is an experienced executive and governance professional with deep expertise in commercial property, operational leadership, and financial strategy.
She is currently Executive Director – Projects (NZ) at Kennards Self Storage, where she leads major transition initiatives including rebranding, property development, and future acquisitions. Caroline is also a Future Director at Investore Property (NZX-listed, approximately $1 billion in commercial property assets).
Caroline has been actively involved with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand for many years. She has served on the New Zealand CA ANZ Council since 2018 and has been a member of the CA ANZ Council since 2022. She is also a long-standing member of the CFO and Finance Leaders Specialist Interest Group, which she joined in 2017, and has undertaken a range of speaker engagements for CA ANZ.
From 2020 to 2025, Caroline was CEO of National Mini Storage, delivering 38% turnover growth and successfully leading the business through its acquisition by Kennards Self Storage following a competitive international sale process. Earlier in her career, she spent nine years with PwC Auckland and has held senior finance roles across multiple industries, including hospitality with Radisson SAS and Hilton.
A Fellow Chartered Accountant, Caroline brings strong financial discipline, strategic insight, and a customer-centric mindset to governance and leadership roles. Born in the Netherlands and fluent in multiple languages, she offers an international perspective on New Zealand business challenges and is passionate about building high-performing teams and sustainable long-term value.
