Don't Worry About the Robots
Authors Dr Jo Cribb and David Glover discussed and debated how to survive and thrive in the new world of work. Held on Thursday 2 August, the panel also featured Joshua Vial, and was moderated by CA ANZ Public Sector Manager Joe Consedine.
Public Sector SIG: Business Partnering
This 10-part session includes webinars and a small group facilitated session by public sector leaders focusing on one of the most topical areas that agencies are struggling with - ;business partnering with corporates.
The interactive course opened on Thursday 16 August in Wellington and is being watched eagerly to see how this now engagement method will work.
Wellington Women Accountants Group Leadership Series
The three-part Leadership Series began Wednesday 15 August with Helen Down, from Advisory Boards, and Stella Lawson, Programme Manager for the Future Directors programme, which has now been running for five years. Three of the future directors, who have taken part in the programme, spoke about their experience and what they have got out of the programme.

Session Two: Imposter Syndrome Workshop - 15 September
In this workshop, Jess Stuart will discuss what Impostor Syndrome is, where it comes from, how it manifests and ways we can navigate it to ensure it doesn't halt our career progression and development.
Session Three: Authentic Leadership - 24 October
In this interactive workshop, the co-founder of Catapult and leadership coach, Andrea Thompson, will:
- Dispel some common myths about leadership that might be holding you back
- Learn what Kiwis expect from leaders (based on research revealed in Leaders Like You)
- Design your leadership philosophy

Wellington Fellowship Dinner
The annual Wellington Fellowship Dinner was held on Wednesday 15 August at the Intercontinental Hotel Wellington. This year family, friends and colleagues celebrated with three new Wellington-based Fellows. Robert Cox FCA, Graeme Edwards FCA and Bruce Simpson FCA received their awards from Chartered Accountants ANZ President Jane Stanton.
Two other Wellington Fellows were unable to attend the event but Geoffrey Blaikie FCA and Lisa Marriott FCA will receive their awards at some point in the future.
