WCOA is a global event traditionally attended by delegates from across the globe. Well, some say it's like the Olympics for accountants – held every 4 years, hosted by a different professional accounting organisation around the world who has bid for the privilege of hosting the event.
Every four years it brings upwards of 5000 professional accountants to one place to discuss the megatrends impacting our profession and the communities we serve. Historically it has been a very technical and academic event but in 2018 we'll be looking to enhance the content with a wider remit around growing the profession globally.
From 5 – 8 November 2018, WCOA will serve up four days of interactive, world-class sessions. We're hoping to attract 6000 attendees from all over the world so this is not only a fantastic industry event, it's also a showcase for the region to global business and finance leaders.
For members in the Wellington & Central Region the prices are competitive and broken down into day packages (at $500 /day approx. and up to 9 CPD hours) and the travel to Sydney is easy.

Manawatu Gala Dinner

This special occasion will honour recent New Members, Milestone Members and Fellowship recipients in the Manawatu region. Presentations will be made by Keith Wedlock FCA, Past President of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Congratulations to all certificate recipients, including new Fellow - Brian Holmes FCA. Seats are strictly limited, so please register early to avoid disappointment.

Wairarapa Local Leadership Team are proud to announce their conference ‘Taking the opportunity’ Friday 21 September at Brackenridge Country Retreat. This is a Wairarapa Leadership Team event that aims to inspire you as a professional, by hearing from speakers like Debbie Humphries who has owned and operated her own businesses since she was 20 years old.
Debbie created a ‘business principles’ grounding in a corporate environment and became a full-time entrepreneur in 2000. In the past 13 years, she has designed growth strategies for large corporations including Fonterra, Bluescope, Carters and Meridian as well as being an owner in over 12 of her own start-ups.
