Regional Chair update
There's no other place to start this month than with a big thank you to all those who made it to the Tasmanian Member Roadshow events held in Hobart and Launceston earlier this month.
It was amazing to see such a strong turnout to each event and I hope everyone in attendance found the sessions to be a valuable experience.
Anecdotally, I have heard some members were not aware the Roadshow sessions were taking place. If someone you know was in this boat and missed out, please encourage them to update their contact preference details via My CA.
To fill in those who couldn't make it this time, we received valuable updates from CA ANZ Tax Leader Michael Croker and Group Executive Member Engagement Mark Rice, before the room was opened up for a townhall style discussion.
I think it's safe to say Michael's captivating style and deep understanding of the tax space stole the show and we are keen to have him visit the state more often in the future – watch this space.
At each event, I also had the opportunity to discuss the Tasmanian Regional Council's state advocacy presence and ask members what changes they would like to see to the Tasmanian tax system.
The Council is committed to advocating for changes such as tax reform on behalf of not only our members, but for the Tasmanian community more broadly and we are working hard to positively contribute to the state's economic future.
With over 1,000 members, we collectively always have a finger on the state's financial pulse – whether you are in private enterprise or public practice, it would be wonderful to hear your thoughts about the tax issues facing Tasmanians – please don't hesitate to get in touch with Council.

These sessions will be presented by Mandy Richardson, a professional advisory board chair, non-executive director and business management consultant and will qualify as one CPD hour.
