- CA ANZ is providing information and resources for employers to support their CA Program candidates to progress with their studies
- Exams for the CA Program will be delivered online this term
- CA ANZ will provide employers with the tools they need to help their CA Program candidates transition to online learning
With COVID-19 changing the way we live and work, CA ANZ has taken practical action and transitioned to online learning and exams for Term 1 of the CA Program.
"We wanted to give our candidates the opportunity to progress with their studies during COVID-19, so we made the decision to move the face-to-face workshops for Capstone and our seated exams online," said Lisa Lim, CA Project Manager of Strategic Initiatives at CA ANZ.
Although online Capstone workshops and exams are a departure from how candidates have typically experienced the CA Program to date, CA ANZ is dedicated to supporting CA Program candidates and employers during this challenging time with the information they need to make a successful transition.
"We want to give our employers the peace of mind of knowing that their candidates can still progress with their studies, and we are there to support them every step of the way."
"It is the first time that the entire term for the CA Program has moved online, so it is important for us to communicate with and support our candidates in making this adjustment," said Lim.
"Once we release any information to candidates about changes to the CA Program, our team of dedicated account managers communicate this information to their employers. This information is also available via the COVID-19 hub on our website."
In terms of changes to course assessments and exams, CA Program candidates enrolled this term were encouraged to work with their employer to decide whether they would like to progress with their exams online, defer or withdraw based on their current circumstances.
Candidates that chose to continue their studies this term were provided with an additional two weeks to prepare, and the opportunity to practice for the online exams.
"COVID-19 has impacted everyone's lives in different ways, so it is important for us to provide candidates with options to choose from during these challenging times," said Lim.
"We understand that for some of our candidates, employers play a key role in their decision whether or not to progress with their studies, so we are having conversations with employers to help them understand what these changes mean and how they can support their candidates."
To help employers understand how this transition to online learning may impact their candidates, CA ANZ's team of 20 account managers have been working quickly to address the most pressing questions being asked by employers of CA Program candidates.
"Our account managers have been working swiftly to provide employers with 1-on-1 support, and up-to-date information on the changes to the CA Program," said Lim.
"At CA ANZ, we want to make sure that our employers understand the requirements of the CA Program, so that they can help candidates accelerate their learning."
For employers who may be seeking additional information and resources on how the CA Program is making the move from face-to-face to online learning, 'My CA for Employers' is an opt-in platform that provides employers with FAQ updates, access to guidelines on online exams, and resources to support their employees in completing the technical modules.
"Although our account managers are here to provide 1-on-1 support, 'My CA for Employers' keeps employers up-to-date on the latest information we are providing to their candidates," said Lim.
