My name is Scott Wagenvoord and I am the new Regional Manager here in the South Island. Well I say new, really just coming up to 3 months in the business. It has been a fantastic time in the seat. I have met a number of members, engaged with our Local Leadership Teams and worked to get to know my team here in the South Island.
Our team in Christchurch covers a wide range of roles in Chartered Accountants ANZ. Our events team comprise of Kate McMurray and Lucy Hitchings in Christchurch and Kate Fallow in Dunedin. Also in the Christchurch office we have Amy Densem - South Island Relationship Manager, Petrina Owen – Careers Engagement Manager, Zowie Pateman – Deputy Leader – Reporting and Assurance and Paul Marambos – Module Leader – MAAF. While Paul’s official title remains the same he has just now been successful in gaining a 6 month secondment to help contribute to the design of the future curriculum and learning experience. Well Done Paul.

Christchurch CA Program Induction Evening for Term 1
A number of our new graduates who are starting the CA Program attended an information evening at the end of January to learn more about the CA Program and what it takes to become a Chartered Accountant. Those who attended found it of great value and gave them an opportunity to meet their fellow graduates from across different sectors. We even had a candidate travel up from Timaru for the event! A big thank you to all those who attended and to Westpac, our business partner, for hosting the event. Keep an eye out for the next “Welcome to the CA Program” event at the start of term 2 if you are ready to start your CA journey!
