Regional manager update

2018 has been another big year for our members and the profession in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Over the last month, we've been celebrating some of the achievements of our members. It was definitely another hectic year as we delivered more than 70 local member events across the region, with just over 3,400 members in attendance.

We often use this time of year to reflect on the achievements of the previous 12 months and in that spirit I would like to recognise and thank our SA/NT Regional Council and extended network of member advisory panels and groups who contribute to putting together many of our events in the region. Without you volunteering your time and giving back to the profession, we would not be able to achieve what we do for our members in the region. For that, we are truly grateful.

We are fortunate to have a membership in South Australia and Northern Territory that believes in giving back to their profession through involvement and leadership of member discussion groups, panels, focus groups and councils. These individuals are the lifeblood of what it means to be a CA and make Chartered Accountants the respected and connected network that we benefit from.

I'd like to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of our 2018 Regional Chair, Bruce Debenham. Thank you for volunteering your time this year in leading the Regional Council in delivering another stellar year of member engagement across South Australia and Northern Territory. Also, thank you for all the support and guidance you have provided to myself, the Adelaide Office team, Regional Council and the members this year.

Finally, I'd like to thank the fantastic Adelaide Office team who bring our member engagement to life, thank you for all your efforts for what has at times been a challenging year.

Thank you to everyone who has been involved and provided their support and input this year.

Have a wonderful break and a successful and enjoyable New Year.
