Thursday 17 May 2018: International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism & Transphobia

Thursday 17 May was is a day to stand with the LGBTIQ community and support young people.

To mark the day, we’ll be hosted a Rainbow Cocktail evening featuring local food and beverage producers. 37 members and their guests wore a splash of rainbow and were able to sign a banner in support of their fellow members. Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand believes it must take a proactive position and be part of the process of changing attitudes in the workplace so this can be achieved.

Those members of our profession who identify as members of the LGBTIQ community should be able to pursue their careers with the knowledge and confidence that being a member of that community has no negative impact on their careers and that they can come to their place of employment knowing they are respected equally by all of their colleagues.
