Northern Territory Update
It was great to see everyone at our end of year celebration at Char. Thank you to those who came along. We were able to support and raise some much-needed funds for Foodbank NT. A huge congratulations to Nathan Reichstein for two outstanding achievements including receiving the 2019 Young CA Regional Advocate plus the 2019 CA ANZ Presidents Prize! We are all extremely proud of you!
Seeking Expressions of Interest
We are looking to hold a Certificate of Public Practice and a Capstone in Darwin in 2020. We need a minimum of 12 participants. Lastly, Nicole Campbell has resigned from CA ANZ & IAA as she has been provided with an opportunity to work at the Department of Tourism, Sport & Culture. Nicole’s last day with the organisation was Tuesday 10 December and we are now in the process of recruiting for this position. Social Series: Young CA EOY Networking
Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, together with FINSIA, hosted an EOY social event at Spaghetti Western in Adelaide where members had the opportunity to hear from the co-founders of the new bar app Shouted – a local start-up app product that is change the way we socialise!

Sharing Knowledge Series: Superannuation Update
In our final event for 2019 in the Sharing Knowledge Series we heard from Tony Negline (Principal Consultant, Superannuation & Retirement Incomes at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) who provided an update on the Government's Super Policy. This was also our first live webcast to members with 85 registered from across SA and NT joining us online to hear from Tony. We look forward to expanding our webcast offering to members in 2020.

CA Catalyst: Launch at Stone & Chalk
Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand were excited to welcome the expansion of CA Catalyst in South Australia with the launch of the CA in Residence Program in partnership with Stone & Chalk at Lot 14 in Adelaide. We heard from two start-ups Link4 Cloud and FYI and how accountants have helped them in their journey. We're looking forward to Chartered accountants adding value and seeing CA's immerse themselves in the start-up community in SA in 2020. Ceremony Series: New Member Presentation
Congratulations to the class of 2019 new members of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand!! We celebrated these new members with their family, colleagues and mentors at the Adelaide Oval. Anna Nolan FCA (Regional Chair) and Bruce Debenham FCA (Regional and National Council) addressed guests and presented certificates on the night. Young CA Panel Chair Jenna Dikih CA also provided a short address to welcome new members.
We also took the opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievement of young member Shaye Thyer CA (BDO Australia) as the recipient of the Young Regional Advocate Award. We were also fortunate enough to recognise and present 60 years of service certificate to John Bishop AO FCA.
Well done to all on your achievements and to those new members welcome to the Chartered Accountants ANZ community.

NT members enjoyed a night of socialising at our end of year celebration at Char Restaurant. The event supported and raised much-needed funds for Foodbank NT. A huge congratulations to Nathan Reichstein for two outstanding achievements including receiving the 2019 Young CA Regional Advocate plus the 2019 CA ANZ Presidents Prize! We are all extremely proud of you! It was also an opportunity to recognise and congratulate CA Achiever placements - Clarice Campos (Merit Partners), Inzamam Eshan (Deloitte); Lin Lin (Merit Partners) and Nicole Silveira (Nexia Edwards Marshall)
