Monday 5 March 2018: Sharing Knowledge Series: Tax Update

Over 100 members joined us to hear from Michael Croker who talked through the Chartered Accountants ANZ approach to tax advocacy, the tax policy issues he is dealing with at Government and Treasury level, as well as the current consultation agenda with the ATO.

Michael discussed a number of critically important topics including:

  • The latest on the lead-up to the Federal Budget, expected to be the last pre-election Budget.
  • The tax policies of the major parties.
  • Board of Taxation’s agenda.
  • ATO modernisation plans and how they impact the future of tax advisory services.
  • Key domestic and international tax developments.

Tuesday 20 March 2018: Strategies for Success Future Leaders Career Development Series

The Strategies for Success Future Leaders Career Development Series has been developed to equip candidates, early-career members and other business professionals early in their careers with skills and advice to support their career progressions.

We had 16 Attendees for our first session: Personal Branding & Communication Style – Internal & External Image. This session was a 2 hour interactive workshop, prepared and presented by a facilitator. There will be 8 sessions held over a 12 month period for them to attend individually or as a series.

Thursday 22 March 2018: 2018 Inaugural Fellowship Dinner

We congratulated 14 members on becoming a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand!

We awarded all of our newest Fellows with their certificates and they invited colleagues, friends and family to join them to celebrate. We had over 100 guests attend for dinner, giving them a chance to meet other existing Fellows.

Thursday 17 May 2018 International Day Against Homophobia, Bipohbia, Intersexism & Transphobia

Thursday May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism & Transphobia. It’s a day to stand with the LGBTI community and support young people.

To mark the day, we’ll be hosting a Rainbow Cocktail evening featuring local food and beverage producers. Wear a splash of rainbow and bring a donation to give to the Minus18 Foundation who support LGBTI young people.

Friday 25 May 2018 SA YCA Series: Charity Quiz Night 2018

The South Australian Young Chartered Accountants Panel (YCA) invite members to join us for an action packed night with trivia, fundraising games and a magnificent raffle draw.

There will be a raft of prizes up for grabs and lots of laughs to be had with all funds raised going to directly support nominated charity (charity to be advised). 

The ticket price includes finger food for your enjoyment and a cash bar will be in operation for the purchase of beverages throughout the night.
