Recap of last month's events/activity

A big welcome to the Region’s nine new members to the designations of Chartered Accountants ANZ being 2 x AT’s, 1 x ACA and 6 x CA’s. We look forward to formally recognising these career milestones at our premier events in 2018 being our Gala Events.

The professional development events focused on continuing to connect the membership, providing essential personal effectiveness content and technical knowledge to support our members in being trusted business advisors.

December and January event focus was about connecting the members and taking in local business successes in the hospitality industry that were at the heart of creating the best customer experience with environment, product and service.

The regions Local Leadership teams have commenced meeting for the 2018 and setting in place plans of areas of focus that will continue the important member advocacy.

It was great to see Caren Rangi FCA named as Hawke’s Bay Leader of the Year at the 2017 Pan Pac Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce business awards, a very worthy recipient and acknowledgement of the amazing leadership Caren displays.

The conversations with Public Practice members continue with awareness on AML and it is encouraging to hear many members taking in the complimentary webinar series.   It is great to be able to provide these members with information and provide details to the upcoming webinar series.

IR’s upcoming roadshows are proving to be a welcomed addition for members to attend. These roadshows will focus on the next release in IR’s Business Transformation project.
